Timecode chase + cue lists (MTC + LTC)
Visualz chases an external SMPTE master clock two ways: MIDI Time Code from your DAW or playback rig, or LTC — the audio timecode signal on a spare channel from the desk. Build a cue list against the show's timecode and every cue fires the instant the clock crosses it, at 24 / 25 / 29.97 / 30 fps. Rewind or scrub the master and the stack re-arms without re-firing — chase-engineer behavior, not a macro.
Track launch
Cut or crossfade to a specific track (scene) the moment the clock crosses the cue.
Column launch
Fire a clip column across every layer — the classic scene-launch, on timecode.
FX preset
Apply a saved effect-chain snapshot at an exact moment in the show.
Blackout + master
Kill to black, restore, or set the grand master to an exact level on cue.
DMX lighting output — Art-Net + sACN
Map the analysis engine straight onto lighting channels: any of the seven audio bands, a beat-flash envelope, the grand master fader, or fixed levels — per channel, per universe. Output speaks both Art-Net(unicast or broadcast) and sACN / E1.31 (multicast or unicast) at up to 44 Hz refresh, so the same rig that runs your walls can pulse the wash lights on the kick with zero extra hardware.
Multi-machine sync + failover
One machine leads; the rest chase over the LAN. The leader broadcasts BPM plus track, blackout, and master state, keeping a multi-wall rig bar-accurate and cutting together. If a follower loses its leader, it keeps the show running on its last-known state and flags the loss — no black wall while you swap a cable. (This is clock + state sync for multi-screen rigs, not hardware frame genlock.)
Local control API — HTTP + WebSocket
Everything the OSC surface can do, over the network stack every tool already speaks. POST /api/transport/tap, POST /api/layer/1/opacity with a value, or raw canonical commands via POST /api/osc — plus live rig state pushed over WebSocket. Perfect for Bitfocus Companion buttons, custom web panels, or a ten-line script. Localhost-only by default; opt into LAN exposure with a token.
Timeline automation
Keyframe lanes over any bindable target — layer opacity, the master fader, effect parameters. The playhead runs in beats, locked to the live BPM, with step / linear / smooth interpolation per keyframe and a loop length you set. Build a slow one-bar breathe or a 64-bar arc and let it ride while you perform on top.
Operator workflow
The parts that make a long night calm: preview before you cut, launches that land on the beat, a master you can ride, a UI you can lock, and a set that survives a crash.
Preview bus + TAKE
Cue any track on a live preview monitor while the program keeps playing. Hit TAKE and it goes to the wall through your configured transition — exactly as previewed, no rebuild, no surprise.
Launch quantize
Clip and scene launches snap to the next beat or bar. Queued pads pulse until they fire, so a slightly-early press still lands musically.
Grand master fader
A continuous master intensity over the whole composite — MIDI, OSC, and API assignable. The smooth companion to blackout’s hard kill.
Operator UI lock
One tap locks the touch UI against a busy booth. MIDI, OSC, and keyboard stay live; press-and-hold the padlock to unlock. Hand the rig over without handing over the controls.
Autosave + crash recovery
The working set snapshots to disk continuously. If the machine goes down mid-show, the next launch offers to restore exactly where you were.
Keyboard control
Space for blackout, 1–8 for scene columns, arrows for tracks — plus full custom key mapping with Learn, through the same binding pipeline as MIDI.
