What it does
Fakes a broken video codec: macroblocks of the previous frame are dragged along held random motion vectors over stale data, with chroma separation and random scanline dropout on top. A persistence control sets how long the smear hangs on; beat onsets fire bursts that widen the moving-block fraction, and Recovery pulls it back between hits. Distinct from Glitch — this is the wet, melting datamosh look, not slice tears.

Parameters
The controls you'll see in the inspector. Like every effect parameter in Visualz, each one is audio-bindable — route a frequency band, beat onset, sweep, or MIDI CC at it and it moves with the show.

Runs everywhere effects run
Drop Datamosh on any of the four buses — clip, layer, track, or set — with pre-or-post placement and a per-effect dry/wet mix. Stack it with the rest of the chain freely; the engine batches everything into a single per-frame draw graph, and a chain you like can be saved as an FX preset and re-applied with one click.
